(H) RW12-12 (F) The outdoor high voltage AC drop fuse, henceforth referred to as the "fuse", is engineered for use in outdoor overhead distribution systems. It operates at a standard frequency of 50Hz and features a rated voltage of 10kV. This innovative device serves as a vital protective component for circuits and electrical equipment, particularly in the event of an overload or short circuit within the power system. Under normal circumstances, the fuse is securely connected in series within the power line, maintaining a state of tension with its movable joint locked firmly in place. Should the line experience a fault, the resulting fault current triggers the fuse to blow, releasing the movable joint and causing the fuse tube to swiftly disengage, effectively severing the circuit. This crucial action ensures the safety of both maintenance personnel and equipment. Unlike standard fuses, this load-type fuse is enhanced with elastic contact and an arc extinguishing cover, enabling it to efficiently open and close the load current within the power system.

The fuse adheres to stringent technical standards, including GB / T 15166.3 - 2008 which pertains to high voltage AC fuses - Part 3: injection fuses, as well as DL / T 640 - 1997 which outlines the technical conditions for ordering outdoor AC high voltage drop-tested fuses and fuse links.
