As a special accessory product of the arrester, the detacher is used in series with the arrester.

When the arrester fails, it can act quickly to withdraw the faulty arrester from the power grid. At the same time, an obvious disconnection sign is given, which is convenient for maintenance personnel to find the fault point and replace the arrester. On the other hand, when the lightning rod is working normally, the detacher does not act, showing a low impedance, which does not affect the protection characteristics of the lightning arrester.

Arresters equipped with detacher are authentic, safe, maintenance-free, convenient, and reliable. Distribution type, power station type, and line type arresters operating in power grids in Europe, America, Japan, and other developed countries and regions are commonly equipped with disconnectors.


Our company's detacher adopts a new type of thermal explosion design, which has the advantages of corresponding fast and error-free operation, and can be used with various types of arresters above 3kV. The conditions of use are the same as arresters.



Usage: Environmental Conditions

1. Ambient temperature: not higher than +40 ºC, not lower than - 40 ºC;
2. The altitude is not higher than 3000 m;
3. Rated frequency: 50Hz or 60Hz;
4. The voltage applied to the arrester for a long time shall not be higher than the continuous operation voltage of the arrester;
5. Maximum wind speed: 35m/s;

For a detailed description and usage of the disconnector, please refer to our company's special disconnector manual. If the arrester is equipped with a disconnector, add the letter "L" after the standard model. For example, YH5WS-17/50-L indicates that a disconnector is added to the YH5WS-17/50 arrester.
