In normal operation, this fuse is strategically connected in series along the power line, maintaining a state of tension with its movable joint securely locked. In the event of a line fault, the resultant fault current causes the fuse to blow, releasing the movable joint, swiftly dropping the fuse tube, and effectively cutting off the circuit.
